At Colegio Internacional de la Subbética we prioritise social and emotional skills. A child who knows how to express their feelings, who can empathise and work in a team will achieve personal stability and an autonomy that will allow them to make better academic decisions for their future.
Our role is to accompany the students in this process, which they themselves have to create, fostering their curiosity and motivating intrinsic learning, respecting their pace and covering their educational needs.
We believe that learning takes place in a whole variety of different settings, therefore we take advantage of the whole world around us and develop activities beyond the centre.
We are in the age of information, so we encourage students to learn how to learn, find information and validate its reliability. We also facilitate students in finding different ways to self-study and present their findings. We believe in evaluating our students on what they know and are able to do, rather than on how well they can demonstrate their memory skills in an exam.
Thanks to the methods implied at our school, our scheduled class time is sufficient to guarantee learning. Therefore, are able to respect the students’ free time and will not overload them with tedious homework tasks. In short, we are a school free of homework and exams.
